The Surety Association of Canada is pleased to provide our Young Professional members with an intimate and interactive discussion with the Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA) President, Giovanni Cautillo, where he will provide a contractors' perspective as it relates to how the industry has been, and will be, affected by COVID-19.
Giovanni will provide some insight into how supply chain, contract and overall industry issues may affect construction moving forward and will open up a dialogue and discussion for how surety can work with construction to navigate these issues.
Join us on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 for a meet-and-greet in our networking area at 12:00 PM (EDT) followed by the virtual session at 12:30 PM (EDT).
About the Presenter:
Giovanni Cautillo is the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA). His passion for the construction industry has driven his 20-year career in the construction industry.
Construction has shaped Giovanni's career trajectory from an early age. He was taught building fundamentals and the importance and interdependence of communication within the construction team from his father, a proud stonemason that immigrated from Italy. The simple values of trust, respect and pride are the foundation of his construction education.
After working in the aerospace and hospitality sectors, Giovanni transitioned back to the construction industry as a small general contractor where he gained a profound understanding of the issues contractors face daily. In 2006, he brought this experience to the Executive Managing Director for the Residential Framing Contractors Association (RFCA), where he focused on building strong partnerships in the industry. After eight years in the residential sector, he transitioned to heavy civil and infrastructure at the Ontario Sewer and Watermain Construction Association (OSWCA). In 2020, Giovanni joined the Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA) as their President and Chief Operating Officer.

- Affiliate Members: $55.00 per person
While this session is being arranged for young professionals, any direct employees of SAC member firms are welcome to register to attend.
