The Surety Association of Canada (SAC) is pleased to present a coffee chat webinar series with executive leaders. Each webinar will be a 45-minute open discussion covering a wide variety of topics, including an overview of the leader’s career journey and development, innovation and adaptability, balancing work and life, and mentorship.

Our next coffee chat webinar will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (ET) and will feature Sheila E. Thompson, President of Rosenberg & Parker of Canada, Inc.

Sheila has over 40 years of experience in the surety industry, having served mainly in brokerage roles. As President of Rosenberg & Parker of Canada, she oversees client and surety relations and leads the firm’s operations with a strong focus on technical expertise, strong market credibility, and disciplined client advocacy.

Widely recognized as a respected voice in the Canadian and North American surety community, Sheila currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Surety Association of Canada (SAC) and on the National Association of Surety Bond Producers’ (NASBP) Committee as Third Vice President. Her leadership footprint also includes past chair roles with SAC’s Ontario and Education Committees, service on industry taskforces focused on bond wordings, and representation on the Canadian Construction Documents Committee’s (CCDC) Surety Subcommittee. In addition to her market leadership, she has contributed to industry education through Wiley’s Surety for Dummies series, was the recipient of SAC’s President’s Award for exemplary volunteering to the surety industry, and has been recognized by Insurance Business Canada as one of its Elite Brokers.
