Registration Application



In order to receive the A.C.S.B. designation students will be required to register for the program through the Surety Association of Canada prior to commencement of the first course. Applications are available from the Surety Association of Canada Office. The one time registration fee for the program is $200 to SAC Full Members and $400 to SAC Affiliate Members. The cost to non-members is $1000.

Upon confirmation of registration in the program, the student must register for individual courses through the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies. Course and registration information for the current academic session will be provided by the University of Toronto.

Following the completion of the program requirements, students must submit official U Of T transcripts to the A.C.S.B. Program Coordinator at the office of the Surety Association of Canada. These will then be reviewed by the SAC Board of Directors and upon approval, the designation will be conferred upon the student.

University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies - Distance Learning Program
The University of Toronto will act as the administrative/distribution resource for the program. U of T, through the School of Continuing Studies, performs the same function for other organizations offering similar programs such as Insurance Institute of Canada, Institute of Canadian Bankers, Canadian Institute of Management.

All courses will be offered via correspondence virtually anywhere in the world through the U of T Distance Learning Program.

University of Toronto will handle course registration, distribution of materials and the issuance of transcripts.

U of T registration policies will be in effect.

In qualifying for the designation, students must adhere to the academic standard and regulations of the University of Toronto.

The Distance Learning program offers courses during two five-month academic semesters per year:

The Autumn/Winter Semester commencing in September and concluding in January.

The Spring/Summer Semester commencing in mid-February and concluding in June.

Final exams will be written in designated U of T exam centres across Canada.

In order to receive the course credit toward the designation, students must authorize the University of Toronto to release transcripts to the Surety Association of Canada.
